Gmail提供主题更换功能

Gmail在推出线语音视频聊天之后，今天又发布了主题更换功能。

从此，Gmail饭就可以更换不同色彩斑斓的主题了，不用再对着那经典的蓝色界面。不过这次的新功能推出，还是和以往一样，只在少部分用户先测试，然后再全面提供使用，至少我自己都没有得用………

要启用该功能，需要切换到英文版Gmail，然后在Setting->theme处设置。据闻有30种主题选择，并且有些主题能够像igoogle那样，按照一天不同时间段来显示不同的样式，喜欢不？赶快去试试吧。

Wordpress 2.7 beta3

Wordpress 2.7更新到了Beta 3版本了，记得之前的Beta 1, Beta 2版本推出的时候，就备受了很大的关注。

每次更新Beta版的时候，WordPress 非官方中文站都会作出翻译并提供中文安装包和语言包的下载，这次也不例外，下面是WordPress 非官方中文站提供的信息：

WordPress 2.7 beta3 在上一个测试版 beta2 的基础上，修改了160多处，主要修正了存在的各种 bug 。

已经安装 beta1 和 beta2 的网友，你可以通过后台的“工具”->“更新”来进行升级。尚未安装这一版本的网友，你可以通过以下地址直接下载 WordPress 2.7 beta3 中文版。

听说新版的Wordpress集成了很多以前需要插件才能实现的功能，例如评论回复，评论分页等……我没有安装新版本进行研究，因为电脑坏了，找了个借口。不过通过上面的演示站点登陆后台，发现的确改变了不少，和之前看到的信息大同小异，速度比较不了，因为不和我一个主机上哈。

总之，Wordpress 2.7正式版的步伐越来越快，很快就到我们的身边了。

Gmail在线语音视频聊天

好像好久没有用电脑上网似的，用起来好陌生一样。电脑坏了，跑到网吧混来了。虽然每当有邮件的时候手机都会提醒，但是我还是一样打开了Gmail。和往常一样检查邮件，然后发现上面有个“New! Video chat”的提醒，立马点击。从字面上意思就可以知道大概意思就是视频通话之类的功能了。果然，出现了一个界面，上面一男一女的头像在Gmail中出现，没错，是在聊天窗口。点击右边的Install voice and video chat，接着提示，完成下载。

下载完毕之后会提示是否重启浏览器进行安装，当然选择是啦。安装完毕，浏览器启动，登陆Gmail，自动定位到Setting菜单的Chat选项里面有一系列的设置。设置完毕，和你的伙伴进行视频通话聊天吧，前提是你的伙伴也需要安装了这个插件。

我想，这个功能可能之前就已经有了的而只是我今天才发现“新大陆”。立刻搜索我的Google Reader，发现今天下午在译言上有一篇翻译，里面说的也颇为详细了。

Gmail一直都整合和Gtalk的功能，而此次推出的视频通话功能，却没有优先使用在Gtalk上面，是我没发现还是真的没有呢？

Firefox Update to 3.0.4

Firefox浏览器更新到3.0.4版本了，此次的更新不仅修复了之前发现的几个BUG，而且还修复了几个安全漏洞（via）。喜欢的童鞋就赶快下载了。假如你一直在使用Firefox，那么你将不必下载，只需要选择帮助菜单上的检查更新，即可以自动更新了，重启Firefox，你将看到3.0.4的新版。

Yo2免费博客服务改版

昨天晚上凌晨1点，OneoO悄悄地把Yo2主页样板给偷换掉了，新版出炉，很喜欢。

记忆中这个Yo2主页的第二次改版。上一次的改版，样式和新版Wordpress后台比较相似，而且用户体验也不够好。一直延续着蓝色基调的Yo2，这次改版采用了清新的草绿色，确实是十分的清新了，却是和Yupoo的配色很像，连Logo也改了……

不过，样式改变了，新功能却没有增加多少。或者说，不能够凸显出来，要各位看官去深度挖掘。据我了解，OneoO本来的意思是将Yo2变成一个SNS的，但是我发现，其实在Yo2上的用户，各自大家都差不多都是顾着玩自己blog，而很少真正的在上面交流，交流得最多的，我怀疑是QQ群里面。 Yo2的SNS插件的使用者似乎不多，而且好像只能Yo2内部使用，Yo2外需要的话要问OneoO索要。

总之，Yo2在不断变得优秀，在这个动荡的互联网时代，它静静地守着一角，似乎在等待着时机，让我们拭目以待。

Google map手机版

假如你一直关注Google map或者一直都有使用这个地图搜索服务，那么，Google map手机版你一定也不会陌生。Google中国在今天发布了新版的手机地图（是今天吗？），增加了以前中文版没有支持的路况和定位等功能。CN人有福了，不用再对着那些Eng。

按照提示，登录http://www.google.cn/gmm/或者http://m.google.com/maps，下载合适你自己机型的安装程序，目前支持大部分手机，wm和bb都可以使用。下面是软件使用部分截图：

通过Google map，可以快速定位你自身的位置，这个功能对于一个处于异地的人来说是一个很大的帮助。只是这个定位的范围有点广了，我尝试过在不同的地点进行定位，不算很精确，可能和基站发射信号有关。而路面状况这个实用功能暂时只能在某几个大城市里面能够使用，例如北京，据闻以后会陆续开通一些城市。

导航功能的操作十分简单，只需要定位当前位置，然后需要你要到达的终点，选择汽车/公车就可以得到一条到达目的地的最短路径。虽然，比起Nokia自带的Nokia Map的模拟导航稍微逊色了一点，前者需要自己手动操作，而后者则自动导航并且能有语音提示。不过，Google Map的自动定位功能却在Nokia Map之上，真是各有千秋。

Google在移动领域上的动作越来越多了，而且也越做越好。之前推出了手机Gmail的2.0版本，使用起来真的非常稳定，不会有像以前那样会停顿在那里半天不动的状态了。据我了解，现在能通过手机浏览器使用的Google服务有：Search, Map, Gmail, Doc, Info, Photo, Reader, Note，还有一个GooG411的服务，免费查找移动企业。其中Gmail和Reader是我使用得最多的服务。什么时候才会推出Gtalk手机版呢？Java版本的也好呀。

This is your victory.

There are mothers and fathers who will lie awake after their children fall asleep and wonder how they’ll make the mortgage, or pay their doctor’s bills, or save enough for college. There is new energy to harness and new jobs to be created; new schools to build and threats to meet and alliances to repair.

Those are values we all share, and while the Democratic Party has won a great victory tonight, we do so with a measure of humility and determination to heal the divides that have held back our progress. As Lincoln said to a nation far more divided than ours, “We are not enemies, but friends…though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection.” And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn – I may not have won your vote, but I hear your voices, I need your help, and I will be your President too.

And to all those who have wondered if America’s beacon still burns as bright – tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from our the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, and unyielding hope.

This election had many firsts and many stories that will be told for generations. But one that’s on my mind tonight is about a woman who cast her ballot in Atlanta. She’s a lot like the millions of others who stood in line to make their voice heard in this election except for one thing – Ann Nixon Cooper is 106 years old.
这次大选创造了多项“第一”，也诞生了很多将世代流传的故事。但是今天晚上令我难忘的却是在亚特兰大投票的一名妇女：安•尼克松•库波尔(Ann Nixon Cooper)。她和其他数百万排队等待投票的选民没有什么差别，除了一点：她已是106岁的高龄。

She was born just a generation past slavery; a time when there were no cars on the road or planes in the sky; when someone like her couldn’t vote for two reasons – because she was a woman and because of the color of her skin.

Wordpress theme Carrington Blog theme

早在1.1版本发布的时候这个主题就受到很多人的关注，刚刚到Wordpress主题页面看了一下,，发现已经更新到1.2版本了。早在1.1版的时候我就下载下来研究了一下。与其说它是一个主题，不如说它是以个主题框架。

Carrington Blog这个框架将一个模板元素进行了极大的模块化，具有高度的自定义性，在以前的经典主题Sandbox基础上进一步细分。在压缩包里面，有很多个文件夹，每个文件夹都是一种元素模块的集合，通过不同文件命名的方式进行调用。例如在content文件夹里，顾名思义就是文章内容，你可以自定义某分类文章内容显示格式(并不是css，而是php文件)，然后将定义好的文件命名为（content-分类名称.php）就可以了，当使用这个模板并显示这个分类的文章时就会自动调用文件。可能我的表达水平有限，各位看官看得糊里糊涂的。其实，在每个文件夹里面都有一份readme.txt，里面说得很详细了，只不是是E文。

前段时间突然觉得现在这个Blog太过于累赘，想专用Tumblr的那种模式来记录自己的生活，但是自从Tumblr被GFW不能访问之后，我也没有再去关注其他类似的服务了，始终觉得Tumblr最好。所以最后决定，还是自己搭建一个吧。虽然有不错的主题和教程，但是始终得不出我想要的效果，这也和我自己的设计水平有关吧-_-!!!!!实在太烂了。相信有了这个框架，能做出个像样的东西来吧，至少将首页文章分类显示也简单多了吧。

丢失的感动–Angel voice

刚才登录Youtube，发现后台推荐出现一首来自Macross 7的歌曲，Angel voice。咦？我怎么就没听过这歌？关注Macross 7并不是一天两天的事，里面好听的歌我都听过啦，咋D就不记得这歌名。仔细看标题，还是Basara & Lin Minmei合唱……赶快视听试听，哈哈！！！！(捡到宝)

嗯，很熟悉的声音，两个都是， Basara 和 Lin Minmei 的声音听起来还是那么的顺畅，咋的以前就没有发现这歌呢。
